Providing this website
This website runs on Ghost(Pro), provided by Ghost Foundation Ltd. When you visit, technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time of the request, the requested address and browser information is processed to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure provision of our information service. Ghost processes hosting data on our behalf. Further information is available in Ghost’s privacy notice and its data processing agreement.
Under the data processing agreement, Ghost may process data inside and outside the EU. For relevant transfers to third countries, the agreement provides for standard contractual clauses under Decision (EU) 2021/914. Ghost provides information about subprocessors and technical safeguards on request.
Cookies and your choices
Technically necessary session information enables access to protected previews. Your cookie choice is stored locally in your browser for 180 days under go-consent-v1. These necessary functions rely on Section 25(2), no. 2 of the German TDDDG. Ghost web analytics, email open and click tracking, member-source tracking and outbound-link tagging remain disabled.
Microsoft Clarity — only with consent
If you select “Allow Clarity” in the banner, we use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) for usage analytics, heatmaps and session recordings to improve this website. Without consent, the Clarity script is not loaded. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Section 25(1) of the German TDDDG.
Clarity processes visited pages, clicks, scrolling, technical browser and device information, and pseudonymous identifiers. We use strict text masking. Clarity may use the _clck cookie to recognise returning visitors and _clsk to associate page views with sessions. Advertising-related storage is denied through the Consent API. Microsoft also processes data for its own purposes described in its privacy notice; transfers to the United States are possible. Further information: Microsoft’s privacy statement and Clarity cookies.
You can withdraw consent at any time for future processing by selecting the permanently visible “Cookie settings” button and then “Necessary only”. Clarity will then stop loading, and its cookies accessible on our domain will be deleted. Data on Microsoft domains can only be removed there or through your browser settings. Microsoft publishes further information about storage periods in the Clarity data-retention documentation.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to manage our visibility in Google Search. The domain is verified through a DNS record. This does not embed a Google analytics script on this website or set an additional visitor cookie.
External links
Links to YouTube and other external websites are included as ordinary links. The homepage does not automatically load YouTube videos or social-media widgets. The destination website is opened only when you follow an external link; the respective provider’s privacy notice applies there.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email or letter, we process your contact details and the contents of your message to handle your enquiry. For contract-related enquiries, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR applies; otherwise, Article 6(1)(f) applies based on our interest in responding to enquiries. The address and service mailbox above are provided through Online-Impressum. Please see its privacy notice.
Storage periods
We store personal data only for as long as required for the respective purpose. Contact enquiries are deleted once they have been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations or the protection of legal claims require otherwise. Technical operating and security data is subject to the hosting provider’s deletion rules.
Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent at any time for future processing. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the place of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement.
